Gulfood 2022 to empower sustainable practices in the global food market

Gulfood Manufacturing launched its 27th edition in Dubai to empower significant trends and practices currently challenging the international food industry agenda.
Gulfood Zero Waste was launched, a global movement in collaboration with hotels and restaurants driving the waste reduction movement globally, this will address major global issues such as wastage results in the loss of nutrients and resources such as water, land, labor, energy, and the expense of food production, in addition to the negative environmental impact.
As expected, thousands of buyers and businessmen came through the event, which featured more than 60 chefs with Michelin-starred chefs included, 110+ speakers composed of significant business leaders, entrepreneurs, as well as UAE’s top culinary experts to discuss and focus on sustainable methods using local products via off-site training and workshops.
Gulfood 2022 aims to change the future of food by driving innovation and transformation. The Gulfood E-commerce Platform, an exclusive networking and conference agenda supporting the growing role of the digital marketplace in the food supply chain, was included at this year’s event, marking another industry first. SMEs pitched prominent e-commerce and food delivery partners on how to improve retailers’ digital presence, as well as hear from industry experts.
Gulfood 2022 was held under strict safety procedures. DWTC, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and the Dubai Municipality have shown its capability to manage the safest face-to-face business environment and successfully execute world-class events with the highest safety measures.
